SF Letterwriting & Birthday Cards – Every 2nd Saturday
Join our SF Birthday Postcard Event every 2nd Saturday from 1-4pm PST. We color and sign birthday cards for our imprisoned trans and queer comrades in California prisons and jails.

Mail Processing & Database Updating – Every 1st Sunday and other dates TBD
We host one to two in-person events each month where our focus is to respond to the mail we receive from our inside members. We send them requested resources and update their information in our database (which is then used to send postcards and match penpals, etc).
We meet the first Sunday of each month, usually from 1-4pm, hosted at the Critical Resistance office – 2929 Summit St., Oakland.
This is an indoor, wheelchair accessible space, masks required, snacks provided. All are welcome! Laptops are helpful, but not necessary.
East Bay Letterwriting & Birthday Cards – Dates TBD
While we had been meeting every 4th Saturday at Understory Oakland, we are currently working on finding a new location after their unfortunate closure. Stay tuned to our social media for our East Bay pop up events while we work on securing a new permanent monthly location!

Monthly Online Birthday Sign-ups
Every month, we have also offer the option for folks to sign up online to send birthday cards from home to our inside members with birthdays the next month. If you would like to sign up, join our mailing list for link to the current month’s sign-up form!
